UCA Clinical Case: Radial meniscus suture in professional basketball player

We deal with the clinical case of a 22-year-old male patient (professional basketball player) who reports pain in the internal region of the left knee associated with pseudo-blockages of 3 months of evolution.

Physical examination revealed genu varum and pain in the medial knee compartment when performing positive meniscal manoeuvres for the internal meniscus. Complementary MRI studies show a radial tear of the meniscal body with degeneration at the back of the meniscus. Here is a video review of the radial meniscus suture procedure.
