The Arthroscopic Surgery Unit of Dr. Mikel Sánchez presents ModelKnee, an innovative
personalised system to assist in the placement of primary knee prostheses. Thanks to the
combination between the power of specialised software and the versatility of 3D printing, and
using the most innovative technologies, these TKP (Total Knee Prostheses) templates provide
the best personalised solution for each patient.

Thanks to this system, the results in the fitting of knee prostheses are improved compared to the
ones obtained when using other conventional systems. This is achieved through pre-surgical
planning, where a simulation of the operation is carried out; a simulation from which the
optimal alignment and rotation of the components is obtained, as well as the ideal size of the
prosthetic components for the patient.

Apart from that, these TKP templates improve surgical times as their use avoids the use of a
