Hospital physiotherapy by the Advanced Physiotherapy Unit for all surgical patients of the UCA

At the Arthroscopic Surgery Unit of Dr. Mikel Sánchez (UCA, according to the Spanish acronym), we are a multidisciplinary team where all surgical patients receive follow-up and advice from our Advanced Physiotherapy Unit team. This service is called hospital physiotherapy.

The objectives of such follow-up are based on providing the patient with a set of tools to ensure the fastest recovery possible.

During the hospital stay, our team of physiotherapists, apart from instructing the patient on the correct use of the sling or crutches, they also teach them the exercises to be done during this hospitalisation period. Likewise, treatment is provided to all those who, due to the characteristics of their surgery, must remain in hospital, as is the case of hip, knee and shoulder replacement surgeries.
