This forum will bring together the national centres that carry out clinical trials on the treatment of Achondroplasia. Furthermore, it will address issues of special interest to families, such us what does a clinical trial of these characteristics consist of (visits to the centre or the different tests the participating children have to undergo). This congress also serves to resolve the numerous doubts that families may come across throughout the year and to find out the forecasts for recruitment in clinical trials.

The Arthroscopic Surgery Unit of Dr. Mikel Sánchez is an international reference centre in the field of Achondroplasia Clinical Trials. Apart from that, Dr. Knörr and Dr. De Bergua attend to this type of paediatric patients who sometimes suffer from some type of dysplasia and require surgical treatments, such as corrections of malformations in the lower and upper extremities. These type of surgeries are applied in the Arthroscopic Surgery Unit of Dr. Mikel Sánchez, including Platelet-Rich Plasma.
